Custom design questions

How does the custom design process work at Piccard?
It runs in four steps. First a consultation where you bring an idea, sketch, photo, or stone. Then we create a CAD rendering so you can see the ring and request changes. Next we cut or grow a wax prototype to try on. Finally we cast it in your metal, polish it, and set your diamonds and gems, all by hand at our Hoffman Estates bench.
Will I see the ring before it is made?
Yes. You approve a CAD rendering and can try on a wax model of the exact design before anything is cast. Nothing is committed to metal until you are happy with how the ring looks and feels.
Do you design more than engagement rings?
We do. Alongside engagement rings and wedding bands we design custom pendants, earrings, and right-hand rings, and we can build a matching set or a piece around a stone you already own.
